New Mexico Digital Newspapers partners
New Mexico Digital Newspapers highlights New Mexico's contribution to the National Digital Newspaper Program sponsored by the Library of Congress and the National Endowment for the Humanities.  Since 2010, the University of New Mexico and the University of North Texas have collaboratively digitized over 100,000 pages of historical newspapers from New Mexico.

The National Endowment for the Humanities' National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) provides two-year grants to digitize 100,000 newspaper pages.

The Library of Congress hosts NDNP newspapers on Chronicling America.
All newspapers digitized for NDNP are in the public domain.

The Library of Congress maintains catalog records for newspapers published from 1690 to the Present in its U.S. Newspaper Directory.

The UNM Libraries' Center for Southwest Research administers the NDNP New Mexico grant and provides content for the U.S. Newspaper Directory.

The UNT Libraries' Digital Newspaper Unit coordinates digital image and metadata production for the NDNP New Mexico project.

The New Mexico Digital Newspapers blog provides updates on New Mexico content added to Chronicling America and historical interpretation.
